I'm an avid book reader with favorite authors with the last names of Ludlum, Thor, Coes, Flynn, Baldacci, DeMille, Azriel,Coben and Berenson. At first I was worried that the computer stuff would flummox me to the point I couldn't stay with the story. I was happily proven wrong. I'm a middle aged mother of 5 and if I could follow, anyone can. Plot moved along at a good pace introducing elements at just the right times to keep you guessing where you were headed. Trent Turner is in good company with Jason Bourne, Scot Harvath, Dewey Andreas etc. I couldn't put it down. The one big surprise that I didn't see coming (revealed at the end) is what pushed the book and author into my favorites column. Let's face it, when you read as much as I do, sometimes it's easy to predict the plot and the outcome. The above writers keep me on my toes and have brought mr great entertainment. Thanks for an excellent first attempt. You left enough open with Ryan's wife that I'm already speculating what's in the envelope.

This was an awesome book. The characters are complex and easy to get to know. There are lots of surprises and is suspenseful throughout the book. In this day and age on cyberspace and cyber attacks being all to frequent, this book will give you chills if it were to ever happen today.
This is a really intense thriller. Hardly a moment to catch your breath. It's really hard for me to believe that this is the author's first published book. Techies will appreciate it as will non-techies. I look forward to another, but it doesn't appear that one is coming very soon.
He does what all great authors of thrillers do - leaves you hanging after each chapter and has you wanting more. Perfect for Vince Flynn readers. Can't wait for the sequel.
Warning To avoid whip lash "Buckle your seatbelt" before beginning this book! Seriously, being an avid reader... addicted to spy and counter terrorism novels... I can honestly say this book is a real treasure!! I made the mistake of picking it up on a busy weekend...after finishing chapter fifty I literally forced myself to put it down. Much to my chagrin I soon discovered a malfunctioning cut-off switch in my brain! Hard as I tried the intriguing plot,vivid characters and intense action kept me dodging bullets and fleeing for my life all weekend! Terrific read...five stars all the way!! When I get these notifications for a new author, I am usually skeptical of what I will find. I can't say why I elected to read SL Jones's first offering, but I am glad that I did. The first chapters grabbed me immediately, and in the manner of Vince Flynn and Brad Thor, the rest of the book kept me going until the final sentence. I enjoyed the fast pace to the multiple stories that converged to the climatic showdown, and of course, Jones's Rapp- or Harvath-like hero, Trent Turner, charms and excites us, while being human or superhuman. I look forward to seeing more of this author's work! Well done!
An excellent "cyber-thriller. The Russian mafia is intending to pull-off the biggest bank heist ever by hacking into the country's biggest bank and transferring funds out of the U.S. If they can pull it off, the U.S. economy will be in ruins. As the heist comes closer to fruition, the Russians are killing the hackers they employed to insert the viruses and bots into the banks computer systems. Trent Turner, the protagonist, who works for a secret government contractor, slowly pieces together the plot, and with the assistance of his "control", and a hacker who escaped the Russian, tries to stop the heist. Heart-pounding from beginning to end. I am looking forward to the next in the Trent Turner series.
Enjoyed this book. Has real potential for more featuring these characters and black ops organization. There were some continuity issues, as things would happen within an event but weren't told until it shows up later in the story. It's not a flashback. An example there is a shooting and someone is killed. the main character is distressed and all of a sudden is passed out and rushed to the hospital. a little later you find out it was a gunshot but you don't know when it happened or who shot him.
