Wooo this has been an awesome series! Hardcore Vanilla just helped make a perfect ending to the series. I loved Sharon from previous books and was super happy she finally got her happily ever after. Jake was an awesome alpha male and even tho they weren't super into BDSM and Jake kept saying he wasn't a DOM. He definitely acts like a DOM and Sharon reacts like his submissive. I also really thought their kink was pretty HAWT! Golden Angel did an awesome job with this one! But I admit I am also looking forward to the next series that she hints at in this book as well!

I have loved reading all the books about the Sims in the Stronghold BDSM club. In fact, it seemed like waiting forever for HARDCORE VANILLA to arrive. It did not disappoint. All the warmth, struggles & humor were right there waiting for me to enjoy along with deliciously hot sex scenes and HEA!
Sharon and Jake had an interesting courtship. It's one of those that teaches you that communication is key, and not to assume things. I liked the way the friends all pulled together and supported each other.
I liked the "ridiculous name" game.
The title is great and totally describes them.
As always, Fantastic job! I fell in love with Golden Angel's writing style in Jessica, Chris and Justin's books. Reading all the Stronghold books numerous times. Every time you giggle along with the girls, smirk at Olivia and feel the tingle when the sexy Dom's are around

I had an anxiety attack when I read 'end of the series' , luckily you followed with 'long live the Baby Dom's from Marquis' . I'm counting the months till 2019.
This book was one that I was sad to see available, yet very excited to see also. Those who follow Stronghold met Jake early in the series and Sharon in the middle or so of the series.
Sharon is a ball of energy with a HUGE Heart and an "I don't care but I really care" attitude.
Jake is a steadfast friend who is methodical, polite, a quiet smart alec, and an all around all American Guy.
These two mix together about as well as a Hard Root Beer Float. They have sparks both inside and outside of the bedroom (or other places), but they are both all heart.
I have been Following Golden Angel since well before the world first Stronghold, but Stronghold is what brought us all together. Just like the Stronghold Crew.
When a series ends, I am always left either fully satisfied or desperate to keep reading and wanting to see the characters as their lives keep moving forward. The Stronghold Doms series left me with both of those emotions. Jake and Sharon were utterly perfect for one another with their not-perfect selves, and they definitely showed that the type of person you THINK is totally wrong for you may be the right person after all, and that you should look closer and open your eyes to read under the surface. This book was HOT HOT HOT, and I loved that it showed that just because a couple might not be hardcore kinky they don't have to be boring.
I love this group of people so much!

The Stronghold Series is one of my all time favorites. The love began with the Venus series, where we first met Jessica, Chris, and Justin. After which we were taken to Stronghold where we met the Doms, Dommes, and Subs who quickly became fast book friends.

**sigh... So many laughs, tears, trials and happily ever afters. 🌈

In this last book Sharon, a sub, and Jake, who is strictly vanilla, have one of their typical tiffs. Jake always thinks Sharon is showing out and trying to be the center of attention, and Sharon thinks Jake is being a judgemental jerk. After copious amounts of alcohol the two engage in something all together different, than their usual snarky arguments.

Thus begins a tumultuous "arrangement" to satisfy lustful needs without worry of relationship entanglements . Lots of gratuitous sex and still plenty of snark.

HEA guaranteed! 100% awesome!

Now, on to " Masters of Marquis "💋
Hardcore Vanilla is the 8th and final installment in Golden Angel’s Stronghold Doms series. Your dom, however, is not a dom. Or doesn’t think of himself as such. But he’s still alpha and still what we ladies like.

This is the only book in the series I’ve read, and while “Hardcore Vanilla” works just fine as a standalone I always feel I’m missing out on some of the enjoyment of series books. Old friends and now-happy couples just don’t have the same feeling when they’re not old friends to you. But I never felt lost or confused by the large cast of minor characters, so you shouldn’t either if you’d like to jump into Stronghold with this entry.

Hotness rating…it’s pretty hot. These two characters can’t keep their hands off each other and oh yes, the author presents that well. I would still mark this pretty high on the sweetness scale, too. My personal tastes run a bit more to the face-slapping, angsty stuff but “Hardcore Vanilla” touches different, deeper emotions. The book made me sad, almost, in wondering why I’ve never been able to find such a real-life relationship of my own. And have Sharon’s money. Jake’s dick and Sharon’s money---hook me up, Jesus, and I’ll start going back to Mass.
